MANTA RAY is a fragmented portrayal of three characters in search of poetic and liberating openings in a muzzled and gradually authoritarian Paris of the 2020’s. United under the sign of the MANTA RAY, Kamilya, Ghost Rider and Gilles, each in their own way, organizes his secret melody, crafts a situation, where, alternately, a sense of lightness can be found, suffocated screams can uprise and reality be distorted into new horizons.

By an isolated desert motel, a young girl digs up a rotting carcass. Later that night, something mysterious is unearthed in her mother.

Booker returns to South Central L.A. after several years away. Confined to the interior of his car, we watch as he interacts with the people and places he once knew, floating between moments of nostalgia and the subtle realities of a subconscious search for identity.

When a working girl in a chicken suit encounters a schoolboy in trouble, the walls that she has built around herself will be put to test as some bridges start to appear between them, amidst juice boxes and melancholy. But the vulnerability needed for communication and the price of empathy might prove to be too heavy for a tired heart.
